About This Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to join Head of AI's network of fractional executives, helping organisations evolve into AI-enabled businesses. You will guide mid-market companies (£20m–£500m turnover) through AI transformations, embedding AI strategically across their operations.

Combining technical fluency with board-level leadership, you'll translate ambition into action, guiding organisations through cultural, operational, and governance shifts. Bring your experience in digital, data, or business transformation to the forefront of the AI revolution and help businesses harness AI responsibly and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1Lead complex transformation programmes, reshaping business performance through technology, data, and innovation.
2Guide organisations through the shifts required to become AI-enabled businesses in the generative AI era.
3Advise CEOs, CTOs, and Boards on the strategic implications, risks, and ROI of AI investments.
4Drive AI adoption through strong stakeholder engagement and mentoring of internal teams.
5Develop AI literacy and ensure responsible AI practices throughout the organisation.
6Design and execute end-to-end AI strategies, roadmaps, execution plans, and governance frameworks.

Translate technology into measurable business outcomes, focusing on experimentation and iteration.

Requirements

10–20+ years of experience across AI, data, digital, or product innovation.
Proven ability to translate technology into measurable business outcomes.
Experience as an AI, digital, or data transformation leader (e.g., Head of Data Science, CAIO, AI Strategy Lead).
Fluency in modern AI technologies, including LLMs, copilots, and orchestration frameworks.
Strategic influence at the executive level with the ability to simplify complex AI topics.
Entrepreneurial, adaptable, outcome-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
Experience leading significant transformation initiatives.
